Where is the borderline between medicine, surgery, dentistry and aesthetics? Why are the face, jaw, teeth and general health often treated separately - yet they all seem so closely connected?
Many patients ask similar questions – and then fully appreciate the comprehensive, holistic and soothingly empathic approach we maintain in our specialist practice. Our extensive understanding of the relationship between the patient and their clinical needs enables us to find a successful outcome for every patient, due to our optimal treatment for the individual.
Our experienced, harmonious team combined with our innovative technology ensures that you will always feel well looked-after at our ISO-certified practice. We equally recognise the importance of responsive appointment scheduling with minimal waiting times. This gives an ambiance that is sensitive to your needs and places you at the centre of your treatment.
Dental implants are safe
Fixed dentures on dental implants have proven themselves. Neighboring teeth remain untouched. High score success rates. Once the tooth is removed, the course is set for an implant. Therefore, the person who inserts the implant even should remove the tooth
What does ‚MKG‘ mean
It stands for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – OMFS – a medical specialty that includes much more than just teeth and mouth. We have the strength of two hearts beating within us – as physicians and dentists.
High-risk patients
As physicians and dentists, we understand your pre-existing conditions and risks, because we work at the interface between medicine and dentistry. This means you will receive competent care from us during all your treatment.
Skin lesions & skin surgery in the head and neck area
As maxillofacial surgeons (OMFS), we have deep skills and experience in removing skin lesions in the face and neck. Even Dermatologists rely on us and refer their patients when cancer suspicous lesions need to be removed and their defects reconstructed.
Implantology 2.0
The safety belt for your dental implants. We plan all implant restorations using 3-D-Scans and digital planning. 3D-printed drilling templates help to bring virtual planning 1:1 back into your mouth.
Surgery should not scare
Everyone is afraid when it needs a surgical procedure. No matter whether under local anesthesia or general anesthesia. When planning the operation, we take our time to discuss the best procedures for you.
And then? #Allwaysthere24/7
As multidisciplinary OMS-specialists we have dual expertise in both medicine and dentistry with many years of university post-graduating and training.
What does this actually mean for you? Effectively, you receive all your services from just one source at our practice. No need to attend multiple specialists and navigate a daunting, clinical referral process. Feeling well cared for, is after all, an essential starting point when nurturing a trustful relationship.
In addition, not only our patients appreciate our full OMS-scope of treatments. We are equally acknowledged as valued specialists by many physicians and dentists alike who refer their patients to us with complete confidence.
Is an atmosphere where I can immediately feel at ease, waiting for me? Yes! Our treatments always begin with a good feeling on entering the clinic, generated by a welcoming smile from our reception staff. Before making your first appointment, we ask you to take a look around our practice to acquire an insight of who we are and what we do.
Stefan Peters has extensive training and experience as a medical doctor, dentist and an oral maxillofacial surgeon. After completing his University Medical School and University School of Dentistry he passed his postgraduate residency at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the University Medical Hospital in Homburg/Saar.
After eleven years of professional post-graduating training, he subsequently established his private practice of OMS at the ‘Fuchsbau’ business complex in Kaiserslautern in 2003. This directly followed on from a tradition established by his father, Dr Ingolf Peters, who had also practiced as a dentist in the near vicinity until 1999 and whose reputation is still fondly remembered today. Stefan Peters has remained true to his father's professional principles and now operates as a surgical and dental specialist from a modern, innovative outpatient clinic and practice.
Additional qualifications and certifications: "Specialist in dental Implantology "(Consensus Conference of Implantology), "Outpatient Surgery" (Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians), "Authorised Hygiene Physician" (Hospital Hygiene Curriculum of the German Medical Association), Member of diverse professional societies.
Each member of our team is a specialist within his/her own field. Therefore, you can feel assured that every consultation is managed with professional competence and sensitivity to your needs.

Our practice is conveniently located in the "Fuchsbau" business complex in Kaiserslautern and is fully accessible for those with restricted mobility. By car we recommend using the "Lutrina" car park directly opposite our practice.
We take the time necessary to achieve a detailed diagnosis. This inevitably starts with your questions. We value open, empathic consultations that eliminate uncertainty and develop the best treatment procedure for you.
Our goal is that every patient is free of pain, anxiety and fear. Both local and general anaesthetics can be professionally administered when required.
We are there for you. If you have any questions or concerns you can contact us around the clock, seven days a week.
For many years medical and dental referring colleagues, including outpatient and inpatient facilities from the region, have respected us as an experienced partner. Time and again they appreciate and take great pleasure in our cooperation.
We work closely together with our partners and guarantee ‘priority scheduling’. We carry out a closely observed, coordinated treatment and ‘re-referral process’. We place great value on the interdisciplinary exchange of information, in person or via our online communication facilities. Referral forms and practice business cards are available to assist you in this process.
The most important thing, however:
Our service quality is not only concerned with technical approaches and treatment outcomes. We recognise that the most important factor for you is to preserve the relationship of trust between you and your patient. We make every effort to maintain this by following a transparent and structured treatment procedure so that each patient knows he/she is in good hands.
